Wellingborough is a pleasant little town along the River Nene in East Northamptonshire, just one hour’s train ride away from London St Pancras.

Wellingborough has a quaint town centre with a modern shopping precinct with plenty of free car parking, just off the medieval high street.
The high street has a selection of shops selling anything from specialist teas and coffees to crystals, there are also plenty of good restaurants and pubs, both modern and traditional, and ancient buildings steeped in history and full of character.
Two lovely pubs are the Horseshoe Inn – a traditional friendly pub offering quiz nights, live bands and acoustic and jamming sessions, and the Coach and Horses pub, which offers good food and traditional beers.
Wellingborough’s annual Beer Festival is worth a visit for those who appreciate real ale, with many examples of Britain’s best beers, ciders and wines, held at The Castle theater, which is also has a cinema and restaurant.
Wellingborough museum is worth a visit for an insight into the local history and traditions of the town and they serve a lovely pot of tea.
Santa Pod Raceway is only 4 miles away featuring international drag racing competitions. They also offer bring your vehicles to show off and race with other enthusiasts.
The famous racetrack of Silverstone is only 16 miles away which is great for those seeking a more thrilling time when visiting Wellingborough.
There is plenty of open space too, with attractive riverside walking, and football fields. Plus, not far out of town is Irchester Country Park with its café and disabled friendly pathways that wind through the woodland.
